Mitä valintoja matkailuyritykset voivat tehdä tukeakseen luonnon monimuotoisuuden suojelua?
Neljäs ja viimeinen luonnon monimuotoisuutta käsittelevä webinaari on Green Key- ja Blue Flag -ohjelmien yhteinen tilaisuus. Tässä webinaarissa tarjotaan konkreettisia esimerkkejä Green Key -sertifioiduista matkailuyrityksistä ja Blue Flag -kohteista.

Ekaterina Sysoeva (Kansainvälinen koordinaattori, Hyvärilän nuorisokeskus) kertoo, kuinka nuorisokeskukseen on luotu luonnonkukkaniitty ja hyönteishotellit osallistaen henkilökuntaa, vieraita ja paikallisia asiantuntijoita.
Eleni Andreadis (Kestävän kehityksen ja yhteiskuntavastuun ryhmäjohtaja, Sani Resorti Kreikka) puhuu toimista, joita Sani Resort on toteuttanut hotellin tiloissa ja läheisellä rannalla tukeakseen luonnon monimuotoisuuden suojelua.
Morgan Griffiths (Etelä-Afrikan Wildlife and Environment Societyn projektipäällikkö) antaa esimerkkejä Etelä-Afrikan rannoilla toteutettavista hankkeista ja toimista, joilla tuetaan luonnon monimuotoisuutta.
Tilaisuus on osa Green Key Luonnonmonimuotoisuus-kampanjan webinaarisarjaa huhtikuusta-toukokuuhun 2022. Kampanja on osa Foundation for Environmental Education’s GAIA 20:30 Biodiversity -kampanjaa.

The fourth and final biodiversity webinar is a joint webinar for both the Green Key programme (certification programme for hotels and other tourism establishments) and the Blue Flag programme (award scheme for beaches, marinas and tourism boats).
In this webinar, we will provide you with concrete examples from Green Key certified establishments and Blue Flag awarded sites on how these entities can take initiatives and choices that support the protection of the local biodiversity.
The speakers will be:
Ekaterina Sysoeva (International Coordinator at Hyvärilä Youth Centre, Finland) speaking about how the establishment has created a wildflower meadow and insect hotels involving staff, guests and local experts to support the local biodiversity at the youth centre premises.
Eleni Andreadis (Group Director of Sustainability and CSR at Sani Resort, Greece) speaking about the activities that Sani Resort has taken at the hotel premise and nearby beach to support the protection of the local biodiversity.
Morgan Griffiths (Project Manager at Wildlife and Environment Society of South Africa) giving examples of projects and activities at beaches in South Africa to support the protection of the local coastal biodiversity.
